Oak Park police are actively seeking a group of suspects involved in a break-in at a newly renovated home, where they allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of items, including essential household appliances.
The incident was reported by a homeowner residing on the 21900 block of Eastwood Avenue to the Oak Park Public Safety. According to the homeowner, on the evening of November 19, 2023, their Ring Camera captured footage of four male suspects in the backyard of their recently renovated, yet vacant property.
The suspects were initially recorded in the property’s backyard, and at a later point, one suspect was captured on camera removing and stealing the Ring Camera itself. The theft did not stop there, as the perpetrators proceeded to steal significant household appliances, including the furnace, stove, hot water heater, and refrigerator.
