Wyandotte police are actively seeking a woman for questioning regarding a recent incident involving the theft of property and an attempted theft, all caught on a security camera.

The incident took place shortly after 2 a.m. on October 8 in the 1500 block of Oak Street. Surveillance footage captured the unfolding events.

In the footage, the woman is seen parking a white SUV across the street from the victim’s residence. She then approached the property on foot, where she committed the alleged thefts.

According to the Wyandotte Police Department, the suspect initially stole a patio chair from the victim’s porch. Subsequently, she attempted to steal the address placard attached to the house’s mailbox, although her efforts to detach it were unsuccessful.

Undeterred, the woman stored the stolen patio chair in her vehicle and returned to the victim’s residence. This time, she made off with a lawn sign. Following this, she swiftly returned to her SUV and fled eastbound on Oak Street.

Wyandotte police are urging anyone with information about the identity of the individual involved in this incident to come forward.
